Turkey-Syria Earthquake
On February 6th 2023, a 7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria.
In the aftermath of the disaster, the true magnitude of the earthquake's destruction is beginning to come into focus: people needing shelter, food, and hygiene supplies during the coldest time of year in Turkey and Syria.

The number of casualties is in the thousands and those needing medical care, shelter, and food continue to increase. The greatest needs for survivors are food, shelter, hygiene products and warm clothing.

Our partner organization, The Orphans Associations of Turkey, is currently using its orphanages as emergency shelters filled to the brim with those with nowhere else to go. They are also mobilizing resources in remote areas where care has taken longer to reach, distributing food, water, clothes, and hygiene products.
