Empowering refugees to thrive where they are.

It’s hard to imagine empowering refugees without thinking globally; that’s why ‘International’ is in our name. The word international is a compass heading for where we want to expand our vision and a reminder of the borders that still need crossing before more refugees can thrive.

Locally we’ve set up support systems like transitional housing, customized programming, and community education to help newly arrived refugees get on their feet. But the harsh reality is that the most vulnerable in multicultural communities will never relocate to America.

  • In 2021, the number of refugees resettled in the United States was 13,700, a small fraction of the 4.6 million people seeking refugee status worldwide. Numbers like these won’t change until there are changes and reforms in immigration policies. Currently, 85 percent of the world’s refugee populations are hosted by developing countries, making the issue seem invisible to many Americans who aren’t confronted with the physical reality of the crisis.

Our International Partnership Fund helps empower multicultural communities right where they are by funding and collaborating with organizations who are on the ground and understand the need best.

We feel that our mission is twofold in empowering multicultural communities: locally and globally. By partnering with organizations on the ground, inside the refugee camps and other areas of need, we can help ensure that refugees thrive whether they are ever resettled or not.
