Barquisimeto born and raised, Karla is our on-site housing attendant extraordinaire! Her specialties are serving three square meals, Spanish interpretation, and Venezuelan sisterhood to our residents. Although Karla left behind her career as a women’s rights lawyer on her path to asylum, she continues to carry her dedication to justice and empowerment.

She cares especially for mental health in the immigrant experience, and hopes to raise awareness as an up-and-coming resource coordinator! Karla takes care of herself through painting and dance, and aspires to take care of others by resuming her legal studies!
