Thrive International Receiver Recommends Organizational Dissolution While Prioritizing Care for Residents and Staff

November 4, 2026

The court-appointed receiver for Thrive International, Shelly Crocker LLC, has determined to pursue the dissolution of the organization following a thorough review of its financial and operational circumstances.

This decision was not made lightly. Throughout the receivership process, the highest priority has been the wellbeing and dignity of the individuals served by Thrive International. We are pleased to share that all residents currently living at Thrive’s two residential sites are being transitioned into safe, stable, and appropriate housing arrangements. Every effort is being made to ensure continuity of care and support during this transition.

The receiver also recognizes the significant impact this decision has on Thrive International’s employees. Support is being provided to staff as they navigate this challenging period, and we remain deeply grateful for their professionalism, dedication, and compassion in serving residents through times of uncertainty. In particular, Thrive’s founder Mark Finney has served the community admirably, alongside a dedicated board, and we are grateful for their commitment.

While the recommendation to dissolve Thrive International marks the end of an important chapter, it also provides an opportunity to reflect on the organization’s impact and the many individuals who made that work possible. The receiver extends sincere gratitude to Thrive’s donors, volunteers, community partners, and past board members whose generosity, leadership, and commitment helped provide housing, support, and hope to vulnerable individuals during challenging times.

“Although this recommendation is difficult, we are proud that our focus has remained on ensuring every resident is transitioned to safe, stable housing with the care and dignity they deserve. We are equally grateful to the staff, volunteers, donors, and board members whose dedication allowed Thrive to serve many people facing vulnerability and uncertainty over the years.”

Subject to court approval and the completion of remaining transition activities, Thrive International’s operations are expected to conclude by the end of the current calendar year. The receiver will have limited funds that will be distributed to creditors of Thrive under a court supervised process. Certain administrative, financial, and legal documentation related to the receivership and dissolution process will likely continue into early 2027 to ensure an orderly and compliant wind-down of the organization.
